Procurement Specialist
Position Overview:
The Procurement Specialist/Buyer will be a critical member of the Sourcing team, and will be one of the faces to an ever-growing supplier network. This new role will support overall company growth, and while day-to-day sourcing tasks may vary, overall responsibility is to work with the Operations Team to ensure Customer needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist procurement activities for all business segments, supporting the team with contract reviews, cost and inventory management, and ensuring on-time delivery and quality of product-
Create, execute, and update purchase and work orders consistent with operational/contractual requirements and to maintain reliable data/ETAs-
Oversee inventory production scheduling and reporting of delays-
Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy and timely payments to suppliers-
Track backorders and work with Sourcing team to mitigate/prevent future stock outs -
Perform data analysis and make recommendations for new improvements within the supply chain and operations team.-
Work cross-functionally on new product introductions to ensure alignment on project deliverables (cost, quality, inventory, delivery)
