Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - East Bay - UCSF

We have Pediatric, Ophthalmology, Adult Medicine, and Women’s health clinics located throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

This is a new full time, salary exempt, benefit eligible position.

The position will require the ability to provide care primarily at our Primary Pediatrics & Pinwheel Clinics in Castro Valley, Oakland, Alameda, and Concord. This is a dynamic and flexible position that will have a caseload made up from a variety of referral sources.

• Provide individual and group therapy both in-person and via telehealth for pediatric patients
• As needed, provide case management services for patients and families participating in treatment. Case management for community resources includes social determinants of health (housing/food insecurity/poverty)
• Maintain active caseload and productivity standards.
• Effectively engage with patients and families
• Engage in and support integrative models of care with UBCP medical providers.
• Participate in regular clinic and/or staff meetings.
• Demonstrate commitment, ability and sensitivity to working with a diverse population of patients and families.
• Effectively communicate and consult with interdisciplinary team members.
• Seek medical supervision when crises and sensitive issues arise yet work independently with day-to-day tasks using clinical judgment.
• Be creative and mature with a “can do", proactive attitude and an ability to continuously “scan" the environment, identifying and taking advantage of opportunities for improvement.

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited university.
• Hold a current and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW} with the California Board of Behavioral Science.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a community and/or school health clinic setting.
• Flexibility to float to different clinic sites as determined by clinic needs.
• Knowledge and experience with individual and group modalities, including crisis intervention.
• Strong knowledge base in mental health and psychosocial issues particular to clinic’s client population.
• Demonstrated skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills, and ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.
• Proficient in Microsoft office Word, Excel, Outlook.
• LMFT is desirable but not required.
