Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.
NYS licensure and clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).
Completion of clinical fellowship year required.
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

Conducts evaluations for patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
Provides therapy for individuals recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological conditions.
Works with patients experiencing aphasia, dysphagia, and voice disorders.
Coordinates with medical teams to implement treatment plans.
Educates patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies.
