Fund Accountant

The position also demands a tight-knit collaboration with external vendors to guarantee impeccable account and position reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all client account activities including cash and trading activities.
• Ensure accurate allocation of investment income such as dividends and expenses across client accounts.
• Manage the client reporting workflow, coordinating with investment and client relations teams.
• Monitor and post capital calls, redemptions, subscriptions and distributions on alternative investments in client accounts.
• Collaborate closely with third-party vendors to ensure account and position reconciliation on investment positions including non-marketable securities.
• Serve as a departmental expert in investment and account reconciliation processing.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of securities and account operations and the functionality within the core systems.
• Reconcile Daily Transaction Reports of third-party custodians as needed to the company's accounting system.

The ideal Fund Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Fund Accountant position include and are not limited to:

• 3+ years of experience in Investment Accounting
• Experience with Black Diamond highly preferred
• Excellent support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet set deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
