RN Spvr - Endoscopy Center
The RN Supervisor maintains accountability for daily operations and delivery of patient care through supervising, leading, and mentoring personnel in CBMC Endoscopy Center as a professional leader, role model and resource to department staff, and assists with personnel actions, staff development, evaluation and counseling/coaching.
Responsibilities:
- Manages daily nursing, scheduling, and registration activities of Patient Care Department(s) in conjunction with patient care manager.
- Performs essential job functions of direct reports.
- Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
- Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues.
- Participates in development, planning and monitoring of fiscal budget(s).
- Assists in development and review of department policies, procedures, standing orders, and competencies.
- Manages daily staffing needs and departmental schedules.
- Collaborates with internal departments and outside referring entities to ensure timely scheduling of procedures.
- Oversees change nurses, PI rep, unit educator, partnership council and workgroups to ensure high quality work with positive outcomes.
- Manages supplies and inventory of the department and ensures financial resources used wisely.
- Evaluates, disciplines, coaches, and mentors Digestive Health staff.
- Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote teamwork and efficiency within the department.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
- American Heart Association (AHA); National Nursing Certification within 3 years
- Varies; Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required), Work Experience: Nursing

Salary Range:The compensation range for this position is $41.36per hour - $71.14per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
