Enhanced Community Support Services (ECSS) program

The ECSS program is for adults being released from state psychiatric hospitals. ECSS offers a higher level of support and case management services for adults living in Bergen County with 24-hour on-call support.

Pay: $19 to $22 / hr – depends upon education / experience

Hours:

Day shift Monday through Friday

Job Summary

Contributes to the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of a consumer’s individualized habilitation plans. This individual will act as the Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic rehabilitative skill development
  • Implementation of Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) principles and interventions
  • Coordinating and managing services, both mental health and physical health
  • Crisis intervention, as needed
  • Provision/coordination of services aimed at active rehabilitation and support services to achieve restoration of functioning and the achievement of community integration
  • Maintaining own appointment schedule and meeting work productivity requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management staff
  • Productivity requirement of 60% face-to-face contact weekly
  • Must be able to operate an agency vehicle and maintain a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance provider

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the helping professions including social work, counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation or psychology. Bachelor’s degrees in a field other than a helping profession shall have a minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working in a community based behavioral health setting
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) may be substituted for one year of experience
