Amazon Application Security's Data Operations team is looking for a security-focused Technical Program Manager with a growth-mindset who wants to make a difference by supporting teams across Amazon through protecting products and services that transform the way customers live.

Across teams and geographies, we strive to delight customers and earn their trust. Members of the Stores Security team are guardians of that trust.

From drones to grocery stores and everything in between, our mission is to assess risk, classify data and systems, detect potential intrusion, and respond quickly to security events across Amazon’s critical business functions, including Retail, Customer Service, Worldwide Operations, Consumer Payments, Physical Stores, and Healthcare.

We collaborate with business teams across Amazon to build security best practices into their mechanisms. Together, we are building (and securing) the future, one innovative product, service, and idea at a time.

Our team approaches security challenges with empathy and curiosity to help service teams identify areas of improvement and guidance on how to remediate risk. Amazon Application Security focuses on enabling our builders to provide a secure and trustworthy experience to our customers without compromising the overall customer experience.

In this role you will work directly with security teams and security product owners to understand and collect customer requirements as you work together to establish data-driven solutions.

This role will routinely challenge your background in technical product ownership, process development, data analysis, operational and management skills, project management, critical thinking, relationship-building, and problem-solving. You will be self-directed and open to new challenges, adept at prioritization, innovation, and collaborating with others.

Key job responsibilities
  • Proactively guide the evolution and adoption of internal, data-analysis and operation-insights solutions used by Amazon builders.
  • Define and implement best-practice methods, processes, tools and continuous-improvement initiatives aimed at scaling and increasing the efficiency of Amazon’s security guidance and builder support processes.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, senior and executive leaders across security teams and services while advocating on behalf of our customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the organization to align, unblock, and enable the development teams in delivering on their security goals.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive data-driven performance metrics. Proactively communicate these key insights to internal stakeholders and customer groups. Leverage these analytics to identify opportunities for investment, assess organizational maturity, and inform strategic progress.
