Accounting Manager - Growth potential
Our client, a rapidly growing local company, has an immediate need for an accounting manager. The accounting manager will report directly to the controller and will be primarily responsible for overseeing an accounting staff and producing comprehensive financial statements.

Duties include:
- Managing an accounting team; including accounts payable, accounts receivable, staff accountants, and financial reporting.
- Hiring and developing accounting personnel.
- Creating and maintaining policies and procedures for proper compliance with GAAP, continuously looking for areas of improvement.
- Overseeing the monthly and quarterly close process.
- Timely production of comprehensive financial statements.
- Reporting of financial results to executive management and company investors.
- Coordinating annual audits.
- Collaborating with senior management in the implementation of SOx controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidates for the accounting manager position should have a minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including some management experience, and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A CPA license will also be required.
