Job Overview:

The Distribution Manager is responsible for providing distribution coverage to an assigned territory or group of customers and focuses on wholesale distributor accounts. This individual will ensure distribution strategies are implemented with assigned accounts and assist with the execution of planned activities for the wholesale distributor platforms, including promotion and marketing management, inventory management in OTTera’s Streambridge product, product demonstrations, and general account management.

In addition, this role acts as an interface between Customer Service/Inside Sales and wholesale distributor management, providing feedback on fulfillment and maintenance of all inventories. Administrative duties include CRM entry, scheduling of product knowledge training, presentation of Streambridge inventory to platforms and coordinates commercial conversations between the platform and OTTera’s Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard and introduce new products to assigned deliveries.
  • Accountable for product trainings, demonstrations, counter days, trade shows, and lead generation/management.
  • Generate & collect leads from counter days, tradeshows, social media or other sources; pass leads over to Managers for them to make contact and follow up on resulting opportunities.
  • Help distributors maintain healthy inventories on all current product groups.
  • Maintain, updates, and utilizes CRM Mobile Sales daily activity calendars to track information, including but not limited to documenting distribution opportunities, entering call activities, linking customers, and keeping calendars up to date.
  • Provide support to cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Executes corporate objectives.
  • Maintain monthly reports and business metrics; identifies business opportunities; reports on trends and new products.
  • Increase market growth for current customers and platforms where customer content is distributed.
  • Secure new business relationships and support current customers.
  • Responsibility for maintaining accurate reporting and metrics.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of OTT and FAST Platforms and understanding of the streaming space, and the different platforms and players involved.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and public speaking.
  • Self-motivated; able to function autonomously and as a team player.
  • Ability to interpret and forecast changes in wholesale distributor buying patterns and product requirements.
  • Ability to give presentations in front of various groups.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization.
  • Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others out, regardless of their position or department.
  • Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level.
  • Knowledge of computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, and CRM.
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • College or University Degree required
  • Experience in streaming platforms where distribution takes place through applications, fast channels or syndicating VOD.
  • 1-2 years licensing experience preferred
  • May be required to travel overnight up to 40% of the time.
