Overview:The Insmed Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment in the pharmaceutical industry, receive mentoring from highly skilled professionals, and work on dynamic team projects.
Our 2025 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship. The internship may present opportunities for rotational assignments within the function, and the intern will be assigned goals and objectives that will support the strategic business plan of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Shadow and participate in rotational assignments with functional teams within Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance to gain a comprehensive understanding of the team’s role and responsibilities.
- Understand the legislation surrounding Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance activities and the impact on cross-functional teams, regulatory processes, and global healthcare outcomes.
- Support Global PV Training activities which may include preparation of training materials, competency tests, scheduling training sessions and assisting with presentations.
- Support the maintenance of the Pharmacovigilance (PV) system by assisting with data review, updating records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support inspection and Pharmacovigilance inspection/audit readiness activities.
- Assist with DSPV related organizational activities, including managing tracking spreadsheets, maintaining Standards & Training SharePoint documentation, and providing general support as needed.
- Assist with the creation and/or revision of controlled documents and standard forms as required.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and conference calls.
- Perform ad-hoc pharmacovigilance tasks and activities as directed by the Intern Manager.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation on an assigned Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (GVP) module at the conclusion of the internship.
- Interested in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Currently in full-time pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced level degree in health care related profession or life sciences required.
- Basic level understanding of regulatory guidelines, medical terminology, and Pharmacovigilance processes.
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation & Benefits:
Eligible for paid company holidays during the intern program.
