Parsippany - Information Security Coordinator

Information Security Coordinator needed for growing medical company. This newly created position is responsible for monitoring corporate security systems to ensure compliance with ISO27001 and other industry certification requirements.

Responsibilities include completing risk assessments, drafting and implementing security policies and procedures, creating company-wide security awareness through training, and conducting security audits, among other tasks.

This is not a lead or management position; the ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience.

The Information Security Coordinator will be needed onsite 5 days a week.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years of experience in security management/ coordination, preferably in the medical device industry.
• IT background essential.
• Working knowledge of ISO27001 ISMS, GDPR, and data privacy regulations.
• Understanding of SLA (Service Level Agreements)
• Ability to work professionally and confidentially with sensitive data
• Knowledgeable of technical security controls and concepts
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• ISC2 certification in information security is highly desirable
