Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer tax compliance for family members, trusts, investment partnerships, private foundations, and individual returns. All non-corporate entity returns are prepared in-house.
• Prepare tax workpapers, tax filing organizational spreadsheets, tax estimates, and tax extensions as well as correspondence with various taxing authorities.
• Proactively provide tax planning and strategies to strengthen family members wealth accumulation. The expectation is to constantly be apprised on new tax laws.
• Provide tax research for specified transactions which require additional insight to reasonably take certain tax positions.
• Effectively communicate tax research or investment strategies to the Director of Tax, Managing Director, and/or family members.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting
• Experience: 1-3 years of tax experience with an emphasis on partnerships and/or trusts
• Licenses: None required. However, desire to achieve a CPA is required
• Proficient in Excel
