Staff Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves a variety of accounting duties such as account reconciliations, journal entries preparation, and trend analysis. The Staff Accountant will also take part in monthly accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out account reconciliations and perform trend analysis to ensure completeness
• Address information requests and resolve issues involving payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries, generate reports, and participate in related monthly accounting activities
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies and procedures
• Assist in special projects as assigned
• Leverage knowledge of GAAP in performing accounting duties
• Utilize computer literacy skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, and related accounting/accounts payable/payroll systems
• Utilize knowledge of SAP and other accounting software such as Oracle, NetSuite, and QuickBooks
• Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage month-end close activities. • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a relevant role.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Proven experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Must be proficient in maintaining the General Ledger.
• Experience in Journal Entries is a must.
• Ability to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
