Procurement Analyst & Fuel Management
Overview:
Collaborate with the leader of procurement and fuel management to achieve reductions in total cost of ownership for fuel while maintaining supply certainty or quality. Strive to deliver year-over-year improvements while maintaining or improving service levels and reliability.Work closely with key stakeholders in the various business lines and corporate functions to develop cost-reduction strategies and implementation plans. Support supplier relationships for operational excellence and security of fuel supply in compliance with quality and safety standards.
By leveraging the company's buying power, the Analyst is responsible for establishing contractual relationships with vendors who provide the greatest value to Atlas Air. The Analyst will administer the execution of agreements and the management of Skymetrix data base.Work with the business unit, Supplier Management, and Accounting to ensure that contractual requirements are adhered to by both the vendor and Atlas.
Responsibilities:
- RFP, RFQ and RFI process management and evaluation with solution recommendation analysis.
- Manage all aspects of the SkyMetrix platform
- Drive annual productivity improvements in the fuel category.
- Measure and track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact.
- Analyze corporate requirements and source cost effective solutions.
- Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance.
- Administer contracts for specific spend categories.
- Analyze the procurement process to ensure compliance with corporate policy.
- Resolve issues of non-compliant purchase orders.
- Produce reports on Vendor Analysis and use information to leverage purchasing power.
Qualifications:
- 4-Year Degree – MBA and/or CPM helpful
- JDE Experience a plus
- Knowledge of Skymetrix a plus
- Strong analytical skills is a must as well as a superior understanding of MS Excel
- Airline and fuel experience a plus
- Should have a minimum of 1-year experience in a Purchasing role or similar environment
Skills:
- Ability to develop high-impact sourcing strategies
- Solid analytical skills – able to define and understand the most critical issues
- Strong negotiating skills. Thorough understanding of sales/marketing practices
- Ability to develop actionable recommendations and implementation
- Willingness to “constructively dissent” and challenge senior management thinking on key purchasing issues
- Able to get buy-in and commitment from stakeholders in business lines
- In-depth knowledge, or passion to learn, the aviation jet fuel business and markets
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Sound organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and to effectively work with competing priorities
- Good Computer skills-Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $61,500 - $83,000
Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
