Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is recruiting for a Senior Accountant for a Raleigh based client.. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of accounting information, aiding in the preparation of financial statements, and supporting various financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Assist in the completion of month-end close processes, including the reconciliation of bank accounts and General Ledger accounts.
• Aid in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Support payroll and benefits plans, maintaining shareholder records.
• Provide necessary account information and documents to outside auditors for the annual audit.
• File necessary tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other ERP systems for various accounting tasks.
• Continually improve work procedures and processes, including documentation and process mapping.
• Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations as required.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Demonstrable experience with the general ledger and journal entries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in creating complex formulas and data analysis.
• Experience in performing month-end close procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
