Financial Analyst, Journeyman - Los Angeles

Overview:

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Financial Analyst Journeyman with 3+ years’ experience for Department of Defense program onsite at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA. and/or Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $100,514.00 USD to $116,800.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantitative analyses of financial data and information affecting programs
• Interpret complex data and identify trends
• Use software tools for data analysis and financial modeling
• A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently
• Review financial statements and other data to assess the financial health
• Study economic trends and market conditions to provide context for business decisions
• Build models to forecast future financial performance and trends
• Compile reports that summarize findings and provide actionable insights

Qualifications:

• 3-10 years of experience performing the duties described in the Functional Description and Responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial reports and models
• Ability to work independently; self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

EDUCATION

Degree: BA/BS degree in a Finance, Economics, Accounting or a relevant technical discipline.

Allowable Substitution: 6 Years additional work experience, or an Associates’ Degree plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

CLEARANCE

Condition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Level Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
