Job Description:

A growing commercial equipment wholesale company in Bergen County, NJ, is seeking a Logistics Planner to manage and optimize local delivery routes for a small fleet of trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in route planning, regional logistics, and customer service, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to end users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily delivery routes for multiple trucks.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate last-minute changes, delays, or rescheduling needs.
• Utilize routing software and regional knowledge to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding deliveries, providing excellent customer service.
• Track and analyze delivery performance to improve routing and scheduling strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, driver assignments, and route performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local transportation regulations.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in logistics, transportation planning, or a similar role.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Proficiency in routing and scheduling software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Problem-solving mindset to handle unexpected logistics challenges.
