Overview:

Are you a licensed Professional Engineer looking to make a significant impact on our projects? As a Construction Engineer, you will draft and analyze temporary works designs to ensure constructability with contract documents, specifications and regulatory requirements.

The Construction Engineering Group focuses on the “how” when it comes to constructing the work. In this role, you will work as part of a team of specialized engineers and leverage your experience designing numerous types of structures to develop the methods we use to build.

What you will be doing:

  • Provides constructability and technical design input on temporary works construction designs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Designs and drafts construction methods for temporary works (falsework, shoring, temporary bridges, formwork, slopes, etc.), ensuring completeness and accuracy with regulatory standards and within the contract specifications.
  • Reviews personal and peer design elements to optimize project constructability, cost effectiveness and material quantities.
  • Submits design for peer review or approval review in an accurate and timely manner to avoid construction delays on the project site. Senior engineer or manager to seal designs following approval review.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in structural design.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field required.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA suite, MathCAD and other structural analysis software is a plus.
  • Knowledge and skill in technical writing for clear and efficient communication
  • Knowledge and understanding of constructability and construction practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize work.
  • Verbal, written and interpersonal skills required.
