PART TIME/FULLY REMOTE - Interpreter - Brazilian Portuguese - IBP 24-18287

Duration: 3+ Months

Projects may include translating documents, interpreting during virtual meetings, voice recordings, reviewing translations, and editing. This is a flexible, project-based position offering an excellent opportunity for supplementary income.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between individuals by translating spoken or written content accurately and effectively.
• Provide translation and interpretation support for areas such as Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services, and other operational needs.
• Adhere to a strict code of confidentiality.
• Complete assigned projects, including written translations, video/phone interpretations, and translation reviews, within defined deadlines.
• Use virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) to provide interpretation services as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; certification in interpreting/translation is a plus.
• Experience: At least one year of experience in interpretation/translation or a combination of education and relevant experience. Must pass a translation assessment with a score of 90% or higher.
• Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Brazilian Portuguese and English.
• Knowledge of interpreting/translating best practices, including strict confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Technical Requirements:
• Dependable internet connection.
• Proficient with basic computer and typing skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools preferred.

Work Schedule: This is a part-time, project-based position. Weekly hours may vary depending on project load.
