Spring Intern: Center for Science, Technology, and Energy - Science Policy
Overview:
The American Enterprise Institute’s science policy team seeks a driven, research-oriented intern. The intern will work closely with Senior Fellow M. Anthony Mills and science, energy, and environment staff to research the relationship between the federal government and the scientific research establishment, the role of expertise in governance, and the history and impact of federal research and development policy.Intern duties will include conducting literature reviews, retrieving and analyzing data, editing and drafting materials, discussing research ideas, organizing conferences and seminars, and providing background research for reports and scholarly publications.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent research abilities, strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, an interest in science policy, strong interpersonal skills, and general curiosity. Experience with quantitative data analysis, an interest in political philosophy, and an interest in the philosophy of science are preferred.
The start dates for the spring program are January 7 and January 14. While the AEI Internship Program and all related programming will take place in-person in Washington, DC this spring, virtual interns may be accepted on a case by case basis.Please include your preferred start date and note your in-person/virtual preference in your cover letter.
