Accountant

We are inviting applications for the role of an Intermediate Accountant in Bridgeton, New Jersey. This role involves performing a variety of accounting tasks, with a focus on Accounts Payable, Journal Entries, and Bank Reconciliations. This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems for efficient financial management
• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investments
• Handling Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate
• Using ADP - Financial Services for payroll and HR services
• Implementing Accrual Accounting principles for financial record keeping
• Using Concur for streamlined expense, travel, and invoice management.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is expected
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Proficiency in using Concur software is expected
• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions is required
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles is required
• Experience in Auditing is a significant advantage
