Analyze and evaluate patient information to diagnose the nature and extent of mental disorder and|or chemical dependency. Assist in the development of treatment plans
Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, behavioral disorders and|or chemical dependency including inpatient detoxification. Interact with patients, counseling staff, medical director, physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to promote a high standard of care, discuss treatment plans and progress.Revise|update plan of care based on patient progress
