Lead Food Safety & Quality in a Growing Meat Distribution Operation

This position offersa path to a Director role overseeing multiple locations across the Midwestas the company continues its rapid expansion.

• Salary range of$130K$170K, plus acomprehensive benefits package, annual bonus, and additional incentives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand the USDA food safety and quality team, hiring and mentoring staff as the company scales.
• Ensure compliance withUSDA, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory food safety standards, maintaining necessary certifications and documentation.
• Develop and refine food safety and quality programs, leveraging data and technology to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Work closely with operations and distribution teams to integrate food safety procedures into daily workflows.
• Oversee training programs to ensure all employees understand and follow food safety protocols.
• Lead internal and external audits, working with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors to maintain compliance.
• Analyze food safety data and trends, implementing corrective actions to reduce risks and improve product integrity.

Requirements

• BS/BA inFood Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related science fieldpreferred.
• 5+ years of experience infood safety and quality assurance leadership, specifically inmeat distribution, RTE or USDA-regulated environments.
• HACCP and PCQI certifications are required.
• Experience developing and improving food safety programs while effectively managing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability tointerpret data and drive continuous improvement.
