We are searching for an insightful, results-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in generating and driving analysis for the Prime Video Partner Operations team.

As a Partner Operations Business Analyst, you will bring innovation, a strategic perspective, a passionate voice, and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast-moving set of priorities, competitive pressures, and operational initiatives.

You will partner closely with operations, program, product, and technology teams to define and build innovative and delightful experiences for customers. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and have the ability to break complex problems down into steps that drive product development at Amazon speed.

The role will require you to be a leader who prioritizes supporting the organization and ensuring defects do not persist. Your role will be to help set and oversee the quality standards of the data the team uses. You will consolidate large data sets into simplified insights that drive performance improvement and business growth.

You will be responsible for analyzing the publishing performance of our Global Major partners.
This will involve creating data
  • driven reports that identify key metrics, trends, and insights about their publishing results.
You will also conduct thorough analyses to uncover the critical factors
  • positive and negative
  • impacting their performance, and then present these data-driven findings and recommendations to various teams.

The goal is to provide the information needed for optimizing the partners' publishing performance.

Key job responsibilities
  • Solve ambiguous problems with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes
  • Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunities
  • Learn and understand the broad range of Amazon’s data resources and develop knowledge of how, when and which data sources to use
  • Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, MS Excel and other data manipulation languages
  • Build new reports/dashboards to enable emerging business use cases
  • Partner with Data Engineering team to deploy new data technology
  • Present written recommendations and insights to key stakeholders that will help shape effective selection expansion strategies worldwide
  • Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, modeling and problem solving- 1+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical cross-functional partners
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Prior supply chain experience
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
