Our Florida operations is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Professional Water Resources Engineer to be based in any of our Florida offices (Tampa Bay, Titusville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Gainesville, Clearwater, Tallahassee, West Palm Beach, or Boca Raton).You will work on complex projects involving innovative urban stormwater management and natural surface water systems, including sustainable green infrastructure planning studies, stormwater infrastructure design and infrastructure, innovative water quality improvements, flood mitigation practices, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis including dam breach studies and floodplain mapping, stream restoration, surface water, watershed, and stormwater runoff monitoring/modeling, NPDES permitting support, TMDL regulatory support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Detailed water quality analyses including historic trend analysis, waterbody health assessments, and TMDL/BMAP assessments
- Nutrient source tracking studies
- Interacting with client representatives;
- Directing multi-disciplinary project teams;
- Watershed management and stormwater master planning;
- Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies;
- Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
- Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D transport models;
- Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs;
- In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;
- Field investigations and construction support services;
- Developing construction documents, including engineering drawings and technical specifications;
- Preparing erosion and sediment control designs;
- Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
- Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
- Helping broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, or natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering or natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E., P.G. CPESC, CPSWG). (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Project management experience managing multiple disciplinary teams to achieve project goals
- Familiarity with FDEP water quality standards related to the TMDL/BMAP program including alternative restoration plans (4b and 4e)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as ICPR, EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
- Experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
