**The opportunity**
The Global Assurance Professional Practice team is charged with driving global Audit Quality initiatives to ensure audit quality is the single most important dimension for decision-making, the professional responsibility we hold each other accountable for and the key measure that our reputation stands.Within Global Professional Practice, the Methodology team aims to enhance audit quality through the development, implementation and maintenance of Global Assurance policies, procedures and methodologies. For FY25 through FY 27, there are strategic priorities and transformational initiatives through the LEAP and NEON projects that will significantly enhance EY auditors’ user experience through EY Canvas and EY Atlas and other tools, including restructuring of the Global Audit Methodology.
As part of a broad cross-organizational effort, this role will be part of a team focused on these key transformational initiatives that require methodology and policy development. support and enablement to help define how we execute the audit of the future.
**Your key responsibilities**
This role is responsible for leveraging knowledge of relevant professional standards and regulations to develop and revise the EY audit methodology and policies, guidance, enablers, and learning relevant to the execution of an EY audit.
To accomplish this, the role teams with other professional practice groups, auditors in the field, and other functional departments to identify optimum solutions to respond to changes in standards or improve the quality of EY audits. This is a rotational role of 2 years with the individual returning back to his/her home Region.Willingness to work virtually, travel globally and to work extended hours to meet the responsibilities of the role are essential.
**Skills and attributes for success**
This role manages and supports a complex portfolio of projects that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables; deliver, delegate and assign tasks as well as follow-up on their completion and manage sponsor/customer expectations of the outcome of the deliverable.
To make that happen, this role includes applying an existing robust understanding and knowledge of the firm’s business, audit methodology, and policies, organizational structure and operations to effectively develop globally suitable methodologies and policies that comply with international auditing and assurance standards.Applying process and technology enablement knowledge to analyses and problem-solving is also involved.
**To qualify for the role you must have**
+ Recent Assurance and audit client-serving experience
+ Strong methodology background, including experience working in Regional Professional Practice or quality networks
+ Understanding of the Digital Audit
+ Interest in emerging technology within the audit
+ Advanced writing skills and advanced knowledge of auditing standards and EY guidance and policies
+ Ability to draft technical guidance in a concise and clear manner
+ Ability to lead the development of ideas and concepts across teams and groups
+ Ability to supervise other senior managers and managers involved in development of methodologies and policies
+ Ability to clearly present solutions to Global Professional Practice leadership and the Area Methodology and Policy Working Group members to facilitate obtaining global consensus
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
**Ideally, you’ll also have**
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a related discipline or equivalent work experience
+ Approximately 6-12 years of experience years of audit experience in a highly matrixed organization, with 3+ years experience at a senior manager or equivalent rank
+ Approximately 3-5 years of involvement Professional Practice or equivalent quality network or standard-setting experience
+ CPA or CA (or similar credential)
**What we look for**
The desire and ability to:
+ Evaluate ISAs and determine implementation strategies for GAM within the Transformation framework of initiatives.
+ Assist in determining appropriate enablement strategies in EY Canvas (e.g., tasks, forms, features) based on experiences as an audit practitioner.
+ Assist in writing communications to explain updates in GAM/APM, including providing input/reviewing training programs.
+ Display leadership skills that facilitate managing complex projects with cross-team resources, to present the proposals and outcomes to Professional Practice leadership and to coordinate the implementation of the proposals.

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $98,900 to $225,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $118700 to $256,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
