Transport Refrigeration Technician-**Carrier or ThermoKing REQUIRED**
Position Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Semi Truck Transport Refrigeration Mechanic/Technician in CEDAR FALLS, IA.
The Semi Truck Transport Refrigeration Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of heavy duty diesel fleet trailer refrigeration units.
**Comprehension and Experience with Preventive Maintenance on ThermoKing and Carrier reefer units is needed IS REQUIRED**
**DIESEL ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING IS REQUIRED**
Pay: $33.00 - $50.00 per hour
A 608 refrigeration certification is needed as well as proficiency with computer literacy to enter data through fleet maintenance systems. The technician must have experience doing pms and minor repairs on class 8 trailers as well.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! UP TO $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS INCLUDED!

What the Semi Truck Refrigeration Mechanic/Technician role looks like:
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
What our ideal candidate looks like: At least 3 years’ experience as an Semi Truck Transport Refrigeration Mechanic/Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance. Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
- Must have own tools
- Must have valid driver's license
