Data Engineer

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in the Financial Services industry, based in New York. In this role, you will be focused on delivering Machine Learning solutions, working with different technologies and frameworks, and implementing analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your proficiency in Python and related AI libraries to deliver solutions
• Implement and maintain LLM frameworks and related technologies
• Work with RAG solutions, including vector embedding
• Use your hands-on experience to deliver LLM solutions to production
• Develop and maintain Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark systems
• Work with Cloud Technologies and AWS Technologies to enhance our data infrastructure
• Implement algorithms and analytics to extract insights from data
• Develop APIs to facilitate data access and use
• Use Apache Hadoop for large scale data processing
• Create data visualizations to communicate findings and insights. • Strong proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark is required.
• Must have extensive experience with cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated ability in data visualization.
• Proven expertise in algorithm implementation.
• Demonstrable experience in analytics is required.
• Proficiency in Apache Hadoop is mandatory.
• Experience in API development is a must.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge and experience in AWS technologies.
• A background in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Proven ability to manage and protect sensitive confidential information.
