responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage assigned IT projects, including the implementation of new software systems like a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and its integration with the company's ERP system. Ensure projects adhere to budget, schedule, and scope, while handling all phases to guarantee on-time completion.
- EDI Integration: Leverage experience in the food and/or dry dairy industry and EDI integration to address the unique challenges of the business.
- Data Management and Migration: Handle data management and migration, ensuring that data from various sources, such as Excel spreadsheets, is properly consolidated and integrated into new systems.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the company and external IT vendors or consultants, holding them accountable and ensuring timely delivery of projects. Establish and implement project communication plans, providing regular status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement and Change Management: Drive process improvements and change management within the organization, effectively communicating the reasons behind changes to inspire buy-in from employees.
- Leadership and Accountability: Exhibit strong leadership and confidence, making difficult decisions when necessary to hold individuals accountable.
- Documentation and Planning: Develop, maintain, and revise project documentation, including objectives, scope, technologies, systems, information specifications, and timelines. Set, track, and document project plans, managing unforeseen delays, and realigning schedules and expectations as needed.
- Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Conduct strategic analysis for projects, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to prepare comprehensive project status reports.
- Team Coordination: Assemble and coordinate project team members, assigning individual responsibilities, maintaining clear communication, and tracking progress towards task completion.
- Leadership and Accountability: Exhibit strong leadership and confidence, making difficult decisions when necessary to hold individuals accountable.
