- Saturday 7am
- 7pm and Sunday 12:00pm
- 5pm, with lunch and dinner provided during each shift.
The pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Unarmed Security Guard Job Description: The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) is looking for unarmed security guards to provide security for the 2 Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs).The MARCs are a one-stop shop for survivors of Hurricane Helene to receive disaster assistance and benefits.
The MARCs have representatives present from FEMA, TEMA, TN Department of Labor and Workforce Development, TN Department of Human Services, TN Department of Commerce and Insurance, TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, TN Department of Safety-Drivers Services, and the American Red Cross to assist survivors.
Unarmed Security Guard Duties will include:-Provide security for the Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs)-Will primarily be stationed inside at the front door of the centers Minimum Skills Needed:-Ethics & Values-Conflict Management Skills-Customer Service & Customer Focused Decision-Making Skills-Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills-Problem-Solving Skills-Approachability-Action Oriented-Basic Reading Comprehension Skills-Social Perceptiveness Skills-Ability to See Details at a Distance-Ability to See Under Low Light Conditions-Correspondence via Email-Must be able to de-escalate situations, while remaining confidential, compassionate, and helpful.-Must be able to physically walk and stand for long periods of time.
