The role involves a combination of tasks related to financial reporting, cost analysis, and implementing cost accounting standards for our manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

• Establish costs of business activity through data collection, including raw material purchases, inventory, and labor
• Conduct ongoing analyses of process constraints to improve efficiency and save costs
• Implement cost accounting standards and ensure accurate allocation of cost data
• Prepare detailed financial reports and present them for regular leadership reviews
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Estimate costs of new and proposed products and maintain the Cost Accounting System
• Collaborate with IT department on system issues, maintenance, and development, and assist in implementing new procedures and features to enhance department workflow
• Perform month-end inventory and revenue recognition audits
• Conduct detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory liability accounts
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies regarding cost analyses and profitability.
• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Manufacturing Cost Accounting is essential.
• Experience in Inventory Analysis is required.
• Familiarity with Standard Cost Accounting is necessary.
• Knowledge of Standard Costing and Standard Costs is expected.
• Proven experience in Gross Margin Analysis is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
