General Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a General Accounting Clerk based in Akron, Ohio. The role involves a variety of accounting and project assistant duties, including managing invoices, dealing with labor unions, handling local taxes, and assisting with project. The position is within a dynamic workplace environment where attention to detail is crucial.

Responsibilities:

• Translate job information supplied by the project management crew into the system.
• Confirm and process invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
• Manage labor union-related tasks and understand their billing codes.
• Ensure the efficient running of billings and handle local taxes.
• Conduct general accounting tasks, adhering to accounting guidelines.
• Demonstrate a high level of detail in driving each transactional piece.
• Leverage skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Viewpoint Spectrum, and Project Management.
• Strong experience in Billing and Invoice Processing
• Excellent Data Entry skills
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum software is a plus
• Demonstrated skills in Project Management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
