Payroll Specialist

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Chicago, Illinois. This role falls within the finance industry, where the successful candidate will play a vital role in managing payroll operations using various accounting software systems.
The position involves not only handling payroll but also auditing and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Accounting Software Systems to manage and process payroll efficiently.
- Manage the 401k - RRSP Administration process.
- Perform regular auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processing.
- Support accounting functions as needed within the team.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Use Banner software to maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
- Handle domestic payroll operations and ensure all transactions adhere to company policies and standards.
- Oversee benefit functions related to payroll.
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
- Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce
- Skilled in 401k - RRSP Administration
- Familiarity with About Time software
- Proficient in Accounting Functions
- Experience in Auditing
- Able to handle Benefit Functions
- Knowledge of Banner software
- Experience in Domestic Payroll
