Private Caregiver (Community Development Service Staff)

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist a family member with special needs. By providing the Community Development Services as directed by a DDA-funded Person-Centered Plan (PCP), the applicant will assist the client to participate in the communities.

Key Qualifications: Strong time management skills and experience in personal care and medication administration.

Ability to monitor and report changes in the clients health, behavior, and needs.
Commitment to providing transportation, assistance with daily activities, and personal care.
Ability to support the client in engaging with the community as outlined in a DDA-funded Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
Observant, patient, and dedicated to ensuring the client's safety and comfort.

Responsibilities: Transport or accompany the client to community activities and planned programs.

Assist with daily living needs, including mobility support (e.g., helping the client in and out of bed, chairs, or a wheelchair).
Follow prescribed healthcare plans, including assisting with medication administration.
Prepare and serve meals according to preplanned menus.
Maintain accurate and timely records, including documentation of medications, incidents, and observations.
Observe and report changes in the clients physical or emotional condition.
Respond promptly and positively to client requests and follow proper procedures in emergency situations.

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.

Valid in-state drivers license with a clean driving record (no points in the last three years).
Physical ability to assist with lifting, repositioning, and mobility support.
High school diploma or equivalent.

CPR/First Aid certification (must be obtained within three months of hire).

Preferred: At least one year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities.

Must be 21 years or older.
Work Hours, Compensation & Benefits:
Full-time: 40 hours per week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week).

Salary: $32 per hour.

CPR/First Aid training fee covered.
