Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to commercial real estate, loan and construction matters. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Review surveys, title commitments, and exception documents thoroughly and effectively.
• Prepare a range of documents related to real estate, loan, and construction matters after consultation with business clients and review by attorneys.
• Create ancillary real estate transaction documents such as escrow instructions, deeds, easements, owner’s affidavits, closing certificates, entitlements, settlement statements, etc.
• Provide assistance in real estate, lending, construction, and leasing transactions.
• Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze and summarize documents, zoning ordinances, and statutes for review by attorneys.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to resolve day-to-day issues and support a broad range of commercial transactions and projects.
• Prepare closing documents. • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal role or similar
• Proficiency in utilizing Aderant software for case management is necessary
• Demonstrated expertise in Commercial Real Estate is required
• Must have knowledge and experience in Zoning, Planning and Land Use
• Experience in Construction Loans and Construction Law is essential
• Expertise in Commercial Leasing is required
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing Loan Agreements is necessary
• Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities
• Must have a proactive approach to tasks and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must hold a valid paralegal certification or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
