Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the growth and success of OMI by managing the employee relationships, payroll, recruiting, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members
- Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
- Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
- Assist in development and implementation of employee career growth and retention policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related years of experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources management or a similar role
- PHR® or SHRM-CP® and/or SHRM-SCP® certification is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
