Overview:

Provides administrative support to the Department of Patient and Family Resources. Work performed requires initiative and the ability to work independently on responsibilities, demonstrating independent accountability, organizational skills, and flexibility.
Work performed involves a variety of duties that would otherwise require the personal attention of the Department Director and other leadership staff. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Processing invoices in a timely manner for the department through receiving invoices, resolving discrepancies, communicating with vendors, and completing payment requests or purchase orders.
Reconciliation of Purchasing Card. Triaging phone calls for the departments main line and supplying necessary information, if possible, and/or redirect calls to the appropriate staff member. Assisting with basic clerical and administrative duties such as data entry, ordering and maintaining office supplies, creating conference room requests, preparing minutes for the department meetings, etc.

Entering payroll into Kronos for processing.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent, with 2- 5 years of relevant work experience required; progressively responsible duties in one of the following fields: secretarial, administrative, finance, accounting, healthcare, or business/finance related field.Ideal Skills: �Display an excellent set of interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.�Ability to use critical thinking, problem solving, and conflict resolution.�Have a forward-thinking mentality, actively seeking opportunities and proposing creative solutions.�Be a highly resourceful team-player with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and appropriate discretion.�Have excellent organization and time management skills.�Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.�Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeNOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.Licensure/Certification/Registration:None
