Job Title: Project Manager / Outreach Coordinator Location: Chantilly, VA Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of a Historically Underserved Farmers and Landowners Conference for 100+ attendees Plan and conduct six two-day outreach education workshops across South Carolina Manage project timeline, budget, and deliverables Community Engagement: Build relationships with historically underserved farming communities in South Carolina Collaborate with local leaders, farm cooperatives, and community organizations Develop and implement strategies to promote events and encourage participation Event Planning: Identify and secure appropriate venues for the conference and workshops Coordinate logistics including catering, audio-visual equipment, and materials Manage on-site execution of all events Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze census data and NRCS internal data to inform outreach strategies Prepare detailed reports and evaluations for each event Provide recommendations for improving outreach to underserved farmers Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Community Development, Public Administration, or related field 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in agriculture or community outreach Demonstrated experience working with historically underserved or minority communities Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, particularly those relevant to South Carolina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale events and workshops Experience with data analysis and report writing Familiarity with USDA/NRCS programs is highly desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software
