Senior Accountant Wanted at a Leading Investment Management Firm!
We are working with a fast-growing Investment Management firm located in the Twin Cities, presently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to join their team.
In this pivotal role, you'll exclusively handle the accounting, finance, tax, and reporting activities for certain institutional funds.
Working closely with the Assistant Controller, you'll assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, manage interactions with auditors, and help maintain solid relationships with external partners. . Your role will involve managing various finance, accounting, tax, and reporting activities.You will also ensure all critical processes are conducted in accordance with documented policies and procedures and play a supporting role in the quarterly and annual financial statement close process.
Responsibilities:
- Play a vital role in the production of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Assist in preparing bank account reconciliations and monthly debt rolls.
- Support the audit process and fund administration through the quarterly financial statement preparation and annual audit.
- Coordinate with the fund administrator and assist with various audit and tax requests.
- Contribute in the preparation and execution of compliance reporting.
- Support the know-your-client “KYC” process for new business relationships.
- Maintain and review internal general ledger data.
- Respond to ad hoc investor questions and aid in periodic investor reporting.
- Participate in various projects to strengthen internal controls and create efficiencies.
- Assist with the quarterly and annual tax work.

- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is essential.
- Strong experience in Bank Reconciliations and Account Reconciliation is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of Financial Services and Financial Reporting are necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is preferred.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
