In Flight Inc. is a nonprofit company that provides support services within a home environment and the community for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). In Flight’s Community Hab department is looking for creative and self-motivated staff to work 1:1 with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities both at home and within the community. You must be able to relate positively to people with developmental disabilities and want to support their goals for a fulfilling life.This is a flexible, fun, and independent position!
What you will be doing:
- Teaching new tasks
- Assisting in the creation and achievement of life goals
- Planning activities within the home and/or community
- Working independently while collaborating with other team members
- Accurately and promptly documenting services, using provided tablet.
- Per Diem evenings, and weekends. Cases in Wallkill and Ellenville.
- Quarterly bonus- must average 20 hours per week per quarter to qualify for it.
EXPERIENCE:
- Working with Individuals that have IDD preferred but not required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
- Attending a full multi-day orientation in Red Hook
- USE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE -Mileage reimbursement available for any transportation of the person(s) supported.
