Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist for our healthcare facility in Stafford, Connecticut. The successful candidate will utilize various healthcare software platforms and play a crucial role in providing top-notch customer service. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for managing inbound calls, verifying insurance referrals, and ensuring the smooth operation of front office activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and efficient service by answering incoming calls
• Accurately verify insurance referrals and confirm appointments for patients
• Utilize Dentrix Dental Software, Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Eaglesoft, and EHR SYSTEM to manage patient records and appointments
• Ensure the clinic's reception area is well-stocked and organized for optimal operation
• Handle patient check-ins professionally and efficiently
• Actively manage and process patient referrals as required • Proficiency in answering inbound calls with courtesy and professionalism.
• Experience with patient check-in procedures and processes.
• Ability to handle insurance referrals and verifications effectively.
• Skilled in managing and coordinating patient referrals.
• Familiarity with re-stocking office supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Competence in scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
