Job Description- Talent Acquisition & Retention:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled workers, project managers, and administrative staff.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Implement retention programs to reduce turnover and foster long-term employee engagement.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, addressing grievances, and resolving conflicts.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values.
- Conduct regular site visits to maintain strong relationships with field and office staff.
- Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations specific to construction.
- Develop, update, and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Training & Development:
- Identify skill gaps and create training programs to address workforce needs, including safety and technical training.
- Lead leadership development initiatives to prepare employees for career growth.
- Oversee compliance training for workplace safety and harassment prevention.
- Performance Management:
- Implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee contributions.
- Work with managers to set goals and create development plans for employees.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Collaborate with leadership to design competitive compensation packages tailored to the construction industry.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Conduct market research to ensure salaries are competitive within the industry.
- Workforce Planning & Strategy:
- Partner with leadership to develop workforce plans that align with project demands and business objectives.
- Monitor labor market trends to anticipate and address workforce challenges.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources during peak and off-peak project periods.

The Successful Applicant- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of HR management experience, with a preference for experience in the construction, engineering, or related industries.
- Proven expertise in handling HR functions in a project-based or unionized environment is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, or similar).
What's on Offer
Target compensation for the HR Manager is $110,000 - $150,000 base salary. Commensurate with experience.
