Digital Media Coordinator| XL Center

Overview:

Responsible for the marketing of venue events for the XL Center and the Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.

This role will pay $20.19 - $23.08/ hour

This position will remain open until November 30, 2024

Responsibilities:

  • Create content, maintain, and build social media followings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok for XL Center and Pratt & Whitney Stadium
  • Develop engaging email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, presales, database communication, and database maintenance for XL Center and Pratt & Whitney Stadium
  • Update and maintain the XL Center and Pratt & Whitney websites
  • Research and implement grassroots, third party, and digital marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Work with marketing department in the development and design of event collateral and marketing materials
  • Assist with event planning and execution
  • Prepare quarterly analyses of website, social media platforms, and email database to capitalize on new/existing revenue opportunities
  • Work with media partners on trade opportunities for family shows and events
  • Work with Group Sales, Food & Beverage, Box Office, Sponsorship Sales, Hartford Wolf Pack Marketing, and other departments on implementation of marketing campaigns and fulfillments
  • Communicate and maintain relationships with media partners, promoters, and agencies
  • Assist in the tracking and completion of all OVG reporting and case studies as well as attend all OVG conference calls
  • Identify the latest trends and technologies in our industry
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sports/Business Management, or a closely related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1-year marketing experience, preferably in sport and/or entertainment marketing
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Knowledge of interactive and digital media (including but not limited to website maintenance, online advertising, social media, and email marketing)
  • Experience in graphic design in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in videography, preferred but not required
  • Excellent technology, communication, organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are a must
  • Professional demeanor and energetic personality
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and select holidays, in addition to traditional business hours, is required
  • Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours and lift 10+ pounds
