Step Into Your New Role

Kleinfelder's GTS Area is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our business development efforts in our Atlanta, GA office.

The ideal candidate has:

  • An excellent grasp of marketing fundamentals, visual communications, and knowledge of theoretical and practical developments in the A/E industry.
  • Strong grammar and writing skills.
  • The creative ability to design appropriate and relevant graphics.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments under set deadlines.
  • The ability to demonstrate and provide critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a dynamic work environment.
  • A "client service" mindset while working in close partnership with technical professionals (scientists, architects, and engineers).
  • Have strong verbal communication skills and ability to organize, prepare for, and attend marketing meetings.
  • The desire to continuously learn and grow into greater responsibility within the organization.

As the Business Development Specialist, you are accountable for supporting the Client Partnership Team with the following:

  • Opportunity pursuit and capture planning execution.
  • Proposal development and support.
  • Researching and cataloging Client-specific information such as rate cases, investor reports, news briefs, etc.
  • Developing Client-specific One-Page collateral.
  • Support service line growth initiative by supporting strategy development and collateral required to advance the strategy(ies).
  • Creating, updating and developing a process to maintain updated resumes and project descriptions.
  • Developing capabilities and training presentations.
  • Tracking and verifying our opportunities weekly.
  • Tracking and verifying our sales per service line bi-weekly.
  • Tracking and verifying our Cost of Sales per Client monthly.
  • Tracking and verifying expiration of contracts.
  • Develop training and development tools around sales stewardship processes and procedures.
  • Improving our external brand recognition through support of our engagement in industry organizations and external associations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing or sales with a professional services firm
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required. Bachelor's degree preferred in English, Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.
