Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and compliance with state regulations and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures as per physician and radiologist instructions, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
• Educate and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring proper positioning for accurate imaging.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients, staff, and self.
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and radiology equipment, ensuring proper image acquisition and functionality.
• Identify and report any equipment issues to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
• Process radiographic images and enter patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental protocols, following guidelines outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assist in interpreting scans and ensuring accurate patient diagnosis.
• Maintain compliance with New York State regulations, continuing professional education and certifications as required.
• Work closely with other departments and medical staff to optimize workflow and enhance patient care.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Active New York State (NYS) License/Registration.
• AHA BLS Certification.
