The Department of Justice (DOJ) Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) requires technical support services for the implementation and continuing support of enterprise-wide software development related activities for systems used by the OCDETF Fusion Center (OFC), the International Organized Crime Intelligence and Operations Center (IOC-2), and the OCDETF Executive Office.
ITC Federal is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior DBA to join our team in Mosaic, VA. Responsibilities:
- Perform database engineering, analysis, and administration tasks to include administration of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other database platforms as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relevant database documentation, to include entity-relational diagrams, database schemas, and backup and recovery plans.
- Provide expert knowledge of OCDETF database schemas and data content and shall support ad hoc data calls, queries, and reporting requests in a timely fashion.
- Secure database systems, including implementation of at-rest and in-transit encryption of all data per applicable federal guidelines; implementation of tagging of data with security classification and other access restrictions; permissions management; application of scheduled and out-of-cycle database patches and upgrades; and implementation of other appropriate security measures.
- Perform detailed database performance analyses and conduct performance tuning to optimize all database operations.
- Manage an Oracle Application Server stack / Oracle Identity Server instance, including any activities needed to migrate the applicable functions to a new platform that meets Government requirements for secure, multi-factor authentication.
- Research, document, and implement alternative technology for the migration of current OCDETF databases from Oracle to other suitable technologies, with Government approval.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- Minimum of an active Secret security clearance; ITC can cage higher level clearances.
- Skilled in Oracle 19 and newer releases on database servers in a Linux/Windows based environment.
- At least 15 years of previous experience as a database administrator with experience building, maintaining, administering, tuning/optimizing, and supporting databases. This experience should include installing and configuring database management software, translating database design, allocating hardware resources, and diagnosing database performance issues.
- Possesses an Oracle Certified Professional or equivalent certification in Oracle database technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Experience supporting federal law enforcement customers, preferably FBI or DOJ agencies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
