About the Producer role (part-time):
The Producer is responsible for end to end success for creative client projects. The success of this role is measured by achieving the client’s goals by facilitating a successful workflow from pre-production to final asset delivery. The Producer is a master of solving for creative complexity and ensuring the output achieves the client’s goals and soona’s profitability.
The Producer is the client’s main point of contact and is responsible for nurturing a positive relationship, managing all details and supporting account expansion. The Producer works heavily across soona departments, creates and maintains the production schedule, coordinates and enrolls all crew, talent and resources and monitors the progress and quality of the assets.
soona’s Producers are entrepreneurially minded with a goal to expand the value of accounts, improve efficiency and quality over time and facilitate a positive experience for clients and internal teams.
This is a part-time position with a preference to be located in Minneapolis, MN (alternatively Austin, TX or NYC, NY) and reports to the Executive Producer. This will be a hybrid role with the expectation to come into the studio and office space for key projects and meetings.

Requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Client onboarding and project briefing
- Budget and scope management
- Managing pre-production end to end
- Talent recruitment and coordination
- Creative concepting and shot list creation
- Prop and wardrobe sourcing
- Internal briefing and resourcing
- Live shoot success
- Post-production and asset delivery
- Retros with the client and internal teams to learn and improve
- Work to support other members of the Producing team across projects as needed
An ideal candidate:
- Master problem solver, think outside the box and SOPs, self-starter and ability to work autonomously when needed
- Manage the client expectations, timelines and deliverables from start to finish
- Ensure success across full process pre-production, live shoot, post-production and asset delivery
- Produce shoots by creating and auditing shot lists, scheduling talent and auditing creative needs
- Meet deadlines and exceed expectations determined by the client’s priorities and the scope of work outlined in the contract
- Collaborate with all studio teams (scheduling, pro services, models, etc.)
- Field requests and feedback, organize efficiently and execute the shoots
- Plan and execute recurring client status and internal check-ins
- Generate regular progress reports for clients and internal teams
- Quickly resolve or escalate client satisfaction issues
- Identify strategic upsell/renewal opportunities
- Optimize or develop more efficient processes through analysis and working across teams
- Communicate with the internal teams regularly to hear feedback and discuss ways to improve
Has experience in:
- 2+ years experience with high-touch client management and collaboration
- 4+ years in photo and video production
- E-commerce photography standards, Amazon-specific experience is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical mindset, skilled at data input and reporting analysis
- Thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing startup environment
- Proficient with G-Suite and project management tools
