Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in Garner, North Carolina. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial operations and ensuring customer relationship management is service-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Monitor credits and debits for accounts, ensuring an accurate balance between daily and month-end account receivable and general ledger balances.
• Conduct data entry into accounts receivable general ledger accounts.
• Address customer inquiries, including investigating outstanding invoices, making collection calls, and negotiating payment terms.
• Follow up on posts of payments for customers, dispatch payments to accounts, and verify payment or deposits.
• Handle cash activity and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist the financial department with various administrative tasks as needed.
• Ensure unpaid invoices are closely monitored and customers are contacted promptly regarding late payments.
• Utilize accounting functions, billing functions, and SAP for efficient operation.
• Process liens for collections when necessary.
• Proficiency in accounting functions, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), capable of handling and streamlining AR processes
• Familiarity with billing functions, able to manage invoicing and payment tracking
• Experience in managing cash activity, ensuring proper record-keeping and accounting
• Skills in cash handling, responsible for maintaining accuracy in cash transactions
• Proficiency in using SAP software for accounting tasks and financial management
• Strong customer service skills, capable of resolving customer queries and issues effectively
