Team Impact

This member of the team assists with future needs of implants based on OR schedule, monitors the inventory process including monitoring PAR levels and outdates and reconciles all implants used and documented in EMR daily for accuracy and cost capture.

Implant Management and Charge capture:

• Collaborate with operating room schedulers to assist with communication to vendors surrounding implant needs for multiple service lines within the operating room.
• Receive invoice from vendor
• Verify recorded implants in Periop documentation is consistent with invoice
• Create bill only for purchase order
• Assist with creating new items in electronic systems for inventory management
• Works with vendor to obtain all required billing information for new products
• Review pricing variances and adjust discrepancies on a daily basis
• Initiates communications with appropriate personnel to assist with missing documentation and charge concerns
• Maintains monthly inventory counts for implantable items
• Assist with Charge Capture function and charge reconciliation with revenue cycle departments
• Audits and reviews operative records on a daily basis for charging accuracy
• Provides monthly/yearly reports regarding implants to assist with financial analysis
• Maintain understaning of current technologies, hospital applications, and regulations by Federal, New York State, and other agencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associate Degree in business preferred or
• Experience working with Perioperative clinical information systems strongly preferred
• Ability to use spread sheets by sorting and filtering data as well as extraction of data from EMR
• Experience with materials management information systems, knowledge of medical and surgical supplies preferred

• Effectively manages multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently and with team
• Strong problem solving/ critical thinking abilities

Salary Range

The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.25 to $25.65 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
